The phrase “live by the sword, die by the sword” (Matthew 26:52) is not a threat but a statement of consequence: those who perpetuate violence or oppression will inevitably be consumed by it. Similarly, the biblical assertion that “every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2:10–11) is not a threat of coercion but a declaration of inevitability—a recognition that truth and divine authority will ultimately be revealed and acknowledged by all.

Both statements transcend mere warnings; they reflect a universal principle: actions and truths carry inherent outcomes. Violence begets destruction, just as ultimate truths (spiritual, moral, or existential) cannot remain unacknowledged forever.
