ALWAYS SEEK THE NEXT LEVEL – LEVELS WITHIN LEVELS
The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches that the human soul is comprised of five distinct parts, often referred to as the “five levels of the soul” or the “five souls.” Each of these parts corresponds to a particular spiritual dimension and contributes to the overall divine nature of the human being. These five souls are Nefesh, Ruach, Neshamah, Chayah, and Yechidah.
1. Nefesh: This is the vital force or the animating principle that gives life to the physical body. Nefesh represents the connection between the physical and spiritual realms.
2. Ruach: Ruach is the intellect and emotional aspect of the soul, responsible for our moral qualities and values. It is the source of our creativity, imagination, and emotional intelligence.
3. Neshamah: This level of the soul is associated with our higher consciousness, divine intuition, and spiritual awareness. Neshamah serves as a bridge between the human and the divine, helping us connect with the infinite wisdom of the cosmos.
4. Chayah: The Chayah soul represents our inner divine light, which is connected to the divine source of life. It is the spark of divinity that resides within each of us, providing guidance and inspiration on our spiritual journey.
5. Yechidah: Yechidah is the highest level of the soul and is considered the essence of our being, our true self. It embodies the purest and most authentic aspect of our soul, uniting us with the divine and transcending all limitations.
Kabbalistic wisdom also teaches that the soul extends beyond the physical body, forming an energy field that surrounds us. This energy field, often referred to as an aura, can extend up to six feet from the body. When we connect with others, our souls interact, and the positive energy generated by these connections allows our souls to grow and evolve.
Conversely, when we experience disconnection or isolation, the energy of our soul becomes weakened or diminished. This concept emphasizes the importance of human connection, empathy, and compassion in nourishing our spiritual selves and promoting personal growth.
This vital understanding of the interconnectedness between souls correlates with scientific concepts, such as the formation of molecules through the connection of atoms. In a similar way, when souls connect, they create something greater than the sum of their parts, leading to spiritual growth and development.
Finally, the practice of burying the dead six feet under the ground has various cultural and historical explanations, such as preventing the spread of disease or providing a respectful distance between the living and the deceased. However, in the context of Kabbalistic teachings, it could be interpreted as a symbolic act of allowing the soul to fully disconnect from the physical realm, enabling it to transcend to higher spiritual dimensions.
